Baby!
In October 2024 we are welcoming our first child! Here’s a look at our home as we prepare for this new transition.
The Nursery.
Creating the nursery space has been so fun. We’ve tried to be intentional and bring in meaningful pieces over the past several months.
I’m excited to share our inspiration and all of the thrifted + new involved in creating little man’s room.
Details.
We started out with our main pieces being the crib, dresser and glider (from: west elm, burrow, and sixpenny).
Some of the pieces like the African Pompano and kids school chair were found on marketplace and others like the checkered quilt and knit lobster were handmade and gifted to us.
There are a few things such as the fan, mirror, side table, and smaller decor items that I already had and was excited to make use of for this space.
I knew the space would have some coastal features to it but I wanted to keep it minimal at the same time. I found a little shell box and some old photos of me and my husband as kids and chose to include those in the room.
I wanted to add some color but wasn’t up for painting the whole room so we chose debonair by Sherwin Williams to coat the closet in. We used some hidden storage and are leaving the doors open.
The biggest project for the room was the tongue and groove on the ceiling. The room was super plain prior to turning it into a nursery and we knew it needed something. The rest of our house has a lot of original woodwork so we decided it would be nice to continue it.
There are definitely more ideas in stir but for now I’m super pleased with how everything has come together!
Update.
Gotta throw in a shop update!
For the month of October we will be offering free shipping on all US orders :)
I have a lovely new employee, Maia who will be fulfilling orders as well as keeping things moving in store.
As always, reach out with any questions and thank you thank you thank you for your continued support during this time!!
